"Asta"

Came
to us as a lively friendly 6-8 year old, 25.5” at the
shoulder, 63 lb, a nameless spayed girl who was deposited in
the night deposit box of an East Bay Area Animal Shelter in
California. She has a white blaze going down her chest and a
small milk patch on her lower chin along with a special
twinkle in her gentle brown eyes. Despite going through a
sudden and traumatic life change and in need of a bit of de-fleaing,
a few baths, grooming, and lots of TLC, this sweet girl
greets every dog and person with a big wag and smile.
Imagine a Giant who can wiggle and wag!
Our 3.5 year old Giant, Lola “adopted” Asta (on the left) on
the first day they meet, it was simply a matter of
convincing the humans of the household that Asta was in her
forever home. Now at a healthy 73 lbs the two romp happy
around the house, taking timeouts on the couch, and
patrolling the yard.
