"Chanel"

Ever wonder how these Giants locate their forever homes.
Here is an outline of how Chanel got hers!
Email received:
Thanks for the information on Chanel. She's so small and so
thin!!
I'm hesitating a little because I'm not sure that we're
ready to begin a relationship with a new companion just yet.
Will discuss Chanel and I'll get back to you either way. . .
..if we want to pursue her or not.
Barbara,
I left a message on your phone last night. But I thought
that I'd just follow up with this email.
We ARE interested in her. She's just been tugging at my
heart all day!
Let's see, we've got treats, chew toys, bowls, a bed, and
now all we need is the puppy!!
The weather looks good for tomorrow.
Chanel goes to her new home. Her new parents continue to
write:
We are just smitten!!! She is quite the little country girl.
Just loves the snow and is fascinated with running water. We
have some little brooks and streams around here and she just
loves to play in the water and to watch it bubble and run.
I brought her over to our local library on Saturday. (I'm
working on a mural in the Children's section) and everyone
wanted to meet her. So, I brought her over, and she did us
proud. She let everyone pat her and then she just sat next
me while we all stood around and talked for around 10
minutes of so. Today, we go to the barn and meet the horses
and some other dogs.
She's not showing any signs of cat chasing. Tib has been
tentatively walking around the house. He's a little wary and
she is interested in him. I would be very surprised if she
cases him. I do believe that they will get along. (sigh of
relief)
She sleeps right through the night.
We are signed up for a "Good Manners" class to begin on
Thursday.
Anyway, we are in LOVE, can you tell? She's flopped down all
stretched out here at my feet.
Had a wonderful conversation with our girls foster Mom
today. Gee, its so nice of her to keep in touch.
She LOVEs the snow and she especially loves to climb on top
of and under things. We can find her standing on top of
stonewalls. No doubt just gazing out over her domain. We
think that she's going to be a Chipmunk hunter. Since our
old cat died several years ago, our yard has become Chipmunk
Nation. So, maybe she will help out with Chipmunk patrol.
Not to kill them, just to scare them away.
We just love her. Its so nice to get unsolicited comments
from friends, the vet, the vet techs, etc. who tell us what
a sweetheart we've got.
THANK YOU!!!
And that is how it goes. Thank you all for your support of
Rescue!
