"Molly"

HELLO MOLLY!

It's been a long year as I began searching for a "little sister" for Howie almost one year ago.  On June 3rd I received an email asking if I would be interested in an "older" Giant girl who needed a home and was great with cats.  I went right to the HT-Z GS Rescue page and there was MOLLY.

She was so pretty and her bio told me right away that she would fit so well in our family.  I began corresponding with Carolyn and Carie, filled out the application and on June 14th we got the CONGRATULATIONS, we've been accepted to adopt sweet Molly.

Molly's foster mom, Jeanette, and I began emailing and talking on the phone and the more I learned about Molly, the more I knew this was meant to be!

Jeanette took care of all the important transport chores, buying the crate and even bringing it to the airport to make certain it met the airline requirements.  I know how difficult it must have been for Jeanette to part with this most loving and sweet girl, as Jeanette made sure Molly was able to get over the scars and hardships of her previous life.  Something that couldn't have happened without loving devotion.  What a splendid job she did, as Molly is so well behaved, has wonderful manners, learned her basic obedience and how to live with many cats.  The cats part was the clincher, as we have 2 elderly kitties who have always shared their home with our dogs.

Molly arrived on the afternoon of the first day of Summer, June 21st.  When she came out of her airline crate, looking so unsure, she managed to gather herself together and accept my words and strokes and soon leaned against me while we sat together on the grass outside of the cargo area.  My dear friend Jamie drove up with me so that I could sit in the backseat with Molly and about half way home Molly sat up and turned around and lay her precious little head on my lap.  I knew that she felt ready to see what was in store for her in her new life.

Howie and Molly met at Jamie's.  I was so nervous about how Howie would respond.  Within minutes they were sniffing and making play bows and we all headed home together.  Tim and I are so impressed with how easily Molly and Howie got on.

When we got home, Howie took Molly all over the yard and through all the rooms in the house, showing her the way.  It was such a lovely scene...him in the lead and waiting as she sniffed here and there.

It's been 2 weeks now and it feels as if Molly has been with us forever!!  Molly is so sweet and loving - just as Jeanette said - she is beautiful and has the most feminine face!  Everything about her is so perfect and we will cherish this little girl forever more.  Molly's arrival has made our family complete and she is greatly loved by all of us.

Thank you HT-Z GS Rescue, Carolyn, Carie and most importantly Jeanette.  We will forever be grateful for everything you have done to make my dreams come true...

Marjory, Tim, Howie & Molly Vaughn
