"Moose"

We wanted to share a few words regarding the newest member of our Family!

We reside in Central Florida and as you can tell from the pictures, our home backs up to a lake and conservation area. Moose enjoys watching different wildlife daily including gators, turkeys, deer and many different ducks and birds. Having been with us a short time, Moose is already taken possession of his home and surrounding grounds, and of course his new family. It is very comforting having the Moose Security Service living with us. My family and friends have commented on his gentle behavior, yet he does have a "business mode" if the situation should require. Moose understands and responds to basic and some advanced commands very well! We could not imagine having a better 24/7 companion. His personality and zest for life is wonderful. Moose has demonstrated patience that we had not expected in a Giant Schnauzer puppy of his age. It is as if he reads our minds daily.

Moose sleeps either on his pillows beside our bed or in his kennel in the master bedroom. He actually has bedding in his kennel - he has not shred any bedding since arriving to his new home! He also has two giant pillows that he uses on the lanai. Keeping him busy each day is the prime ingredient to a happy Giant and of course... Giant owners too! He enjoys visits to the dog park (wild man), walks and patrolling the lanai. He loves his toys. He is currently learning how to catch a ball. He is so funny - we think he gets confused as to what he is sometimes, because he hops around like a rabbit when he is playing! We feel so lucky to have this wonderful "fur-face" in our lives.

Please rest assured, Moose may look laid-back adjacent to his Moose-Pool. 

We had recently returned from a long walk and play time in one of the Hunters Creek Puppy play areas.  These areas are huge fenced areas only for dogs and their owners.  There are social and private areas for training or other activities.  Of course, Moose loves either area and looks forward to each and every day!  Moose is a fantastic Giant and very social.

Moose now is fully qualified in HOME & Land Schnauzer Security:

Moose was found carrying Santa around the house, actually a realistic, fully dressed 5 1/2' mannequin... once he noticed the strange "bearded Man" standing beside the tree, he went into FULL BUSINESS "PROTECTION MODE"! 

This was hilarious and yes...our Moose-man is always on duty and ready to protect his home and family!

Christmas eve, Santa's milk and cookies will be in the kitchen nook.  Not to worry Santa, Moose will be asleep in the master bedroom.
